Origin
ACDC is widely described as a CBD-rich phenotype selected from Cannatonic, a strain bred by Resin Seeds specifically to raise CBD content. The deeper parentage behind Cannatonic is not well documented, and accounts differ, so ACDC's family tree is best treated as "a CBD selection from Cannatonic" and left there. It has a small number of descendants of its own, most of them also CBD-forward. It is also sold as AC/DC and, less often, as C-6.

The difficulty to grow ACDC is known for being average. For growers cultivating indoors, expect 30–80 in height with a moderate yield with in about 65–72 d. Outdoors, harvest around 9 to 10 weeks.
Cultivation Notes
ACDC is a moderate grow. It reaches a medium height, finishes in roughly nine to ten weeks and produces an average yield. As with any CBD-rich plant, the cannabinoid ratio can drift between grows and phenotypes, so testing each harvest matters more here than with a THC strain where a rough estimate is good enough. About
ACDC is on the same shelf as everything else and does almost none of what that shelf is for. It is a CBD-rich selection from the strain Cannatonic, carrying roughly twenty parts CBD to every one part THC, which puts its THC low enough that most people feel little or no intoxication from it.
It became well known in the early 2010s, when CBD-forward strains were first getting attention and competition stages first had categories for them. The question it raises is a real one: what is there to feel when THC is barely in the room.
What to Expect
What most reports describe is a clear, un-stoned calm. Across roughly 2,300 cross-site reviews, relaxed leads at 61 percent, with a smaller share noting feeling happy, uplifted or a little more focused. Only about one in ten mention dry mouth. The usual cannabis side effects are mostly absent, and there is no real head change to speak of.
Because the THC is so low, the experience does not have much of a ceiling: more ACDC mostly means more of the same mild calm rather than anything stronger. That is the point of the strain, not a weak batch. Consumers report reaching for it for stress, for physical discomfort and around focus-heavy tasks; some also report using CBD products while trying to reduce their reliance on other approaches, though any change to a prescribed medication needs guidance from a qualified clinician. Judged as a low-intoxication CBD strain it does its job; judged as a THC strain it will feel like nothing is happening.
Flavor and Aroma
ACDC is lemon and pine with a peppery, herbal edge and a light sweetness. It is a fresh, woody smell rather than a rich or fruity one. The flavor follows, citrus and pine with a faint spice on the exhale. It is a mild aroma overall, in keeping with the rest of the strain.
Terpenes Explained
ACDC's measured terpene panel is thin and the values we have carry a data error, so it is only reliable as a rough description: lemon and pine notes, a little pepper. It is not a basis for predicting how the strain will feel.
The number that matters for ACDC is the cannabinoid ratio, not the terpenes. A ratio written as 20:1 means about twenty parts CBD to one part THC, and it is the single most useful figure on the label, because it tells you roughly how much head change to expect before you tell you anything else. A high-CBD, low-THC strain like this one behaves very differently from a balanced 1:1 or a THC-dominant strain, and the ratio is how you tell them apart at a glance.
Cannabinoids and Potency
ACDC is CBD-dominant, with CBD many times higher than THC and THC itself down in the low single digits. Our cannabinoid records for this strain carry a known decimal-shift error, so this review gives the ratio and the shape rather than exact percentages; a current lab test on the specific batch is the number to trust.
The practical consequence is simple. ACDC will not get you high in the ordinary sense, and the dose question is less about intensity than about how much CBD you want in a serving, which is why people tend to measure this one, especially in a tincture or edible, rather than eyeball it. Judge it as a CBD strain, not a THC one, and buy on the batch's tested ratio.
