Origin
Afgoo is generally given as a cross of an unnamed sativa from Maui and an Afghani landrace indica, tracing to the 1980s. Accounts differ on whether the Maui side is a plain landrace or a Maui Haze, so the lineage is best treated as the accepted account rather than a documented one. It has a single recorded descendant in our data.

Cultivation Notes
Afgoo is a productive, forgiving grow, which is a large part of why it stuck around. It finishes fast, in as little as six to nine weeks, and yields heavily, with reported figures around 32 ounces per square meter indoors and more per plant outdoors, harvesting late September into early October. Disease resistance is average. Grower and breeder figures.

About
Afgoo does one job and does it the same way every time.
Also spelled Afgooey, it is a cross of a Maui sativa and an Afghani indica that traces back to the 1980s. The name is a joke about how you feel after smoking it and about how sticky the flowers are. It is a plain, heavy, resin-caked nighttime indica with no twist to explain.
What to Expect
Afgoo is a body strain headed for sleep. Leafly's breakdown leads with relaxed at 51 percent, then euphoric, sleepy and happy clustered in the mid-forties, with a light uplifted note early on. The build is gradual: a mild head lift, then a heavy, dreamy weight that runs across the whole body. It belongs in the evening.
Dry mouth is common at 35 percent, with dry eyes and some dizziness behind it. There is no real surprise in the arc, which is the appeal for people who want a dependable wind-down. It is a poor fit for daytime, for focus or for anyone wanting a heady experience.
Flavor and Aroma
Afgoo is earthy and piney with a spicy, herbal edge and a nutty, woody undertone. Some cuts carry a light skunk. It is a rich, organic smell rather than a sweet one, and the flavor holds the earth and pine through the exhale.
Terpenes Explained
Our measured terpene panel for Afgoo is limited to a few values too low to be reliable, so read it only as an order: Myrcene, then Ocimene, Caryophyllene and Humulene. Myrcene leading fits the earthy, slightly sweet character.
The nutty, woody depth people describe sits mostly outside the standard nine terpenes, in minor compounds a panel does not measure. Treat a batch's own test as the real profile.
Cannabinoids and Potency
Afgoo THC runs from about 17 to 28 percent in our records, with the lab-measured sample near 18 and the higher figures coming from older reported testing. CBD is a trace; one reading near 6 percent is an artifact and is not used. It is a solidly potent strain, and the higher end is worth respecting for a light or occasional smoker.
Dose for the effect, not the number, because the body weight arrives regardless.
