Origin
Alaskan Thunder Fuck is generally given as Matanuska Thunder Fuck crossed with a North American sativa, tracing to Alaska in the 1970s. The fuller origin story, involving Russian ruderalis, a Northern California sativa and a later Afghani cross, is lore rather than documented record. It has no recorded descendants in our data, though the name is borrowed widely.

Cultivation Notes
ATF is a moderate grow. It stays fairly short, around 30 inches, and likes to stretch during flower, so early training helps. It finishes in about eight to nine weeks indoors, or by October outdoors, where a cooler northern climate actually improves the yield. Indoor yield is around 16 ounces per square meter, considerably more per plant outside. Disease resistance is only average. Grower and breeder figures.

About
The name is the loudest thing about Alaskan Thunder Fuck. The high is not.
This is a frosty, sativa-leaning strain out of 1970s Alaska, usually shortened to ATF and wrapped in stories about ruderalis, Northern California sativa and a later shot of Afghani. What it actually does is open bright and creative, then let a modest body weight settle in from the roughly one-third indica in its makeup.
What to Expect
ATF is a two-part daytime high. It comes on happy and euphoric, with a clear creative and uplifted quality, and Leafly's breakdown puts those effects in the fifties. Then a light physical calm arrives underneath, enough to take the edge off the head lift without pulling toward the couch. It works for a creative session, being social, a productive morning.
Dry mouth is common at 32 percent, with dry eyes behind it. A dizzy or briefly paranoid note shows up for a smaller share, more at larger doses. It is a poor fit for the evening or for a heavy, sedating effect.
Flavor and Aroma
ATF is a strange, strong smell: skunk and diesel over an earthy, woody base, with a sharp citrus note and, in some cuts, a clear banana and orange sweetness. Sources split on whether it is off-putting or great. The flavor is cleaner than the aroma, earthy and piney with a lemon edge.
Terpenes Explained
Our measured terpene panel for ATF is limited to a few values too low to be reliable, so read it only as an order: Linalool, Humulene, Myrcene and Caryophyllene. It points to a soft, earthy, peppery profile rather than a citrus-forward one.
The banana and diesel notes that make ATF recognizable are not among the standard terpenes; they come from minor compounds a panel does not measure. Trust the jar in front of you over the numbers.
Cannabinoids and Potency
ATF THC runs from about 16 to 23 percent in our records, with the lab-measured sample near 20. CBD is a trace. That is a solid, upper-middle potency without being extreme.
The number tracks the experience here reasonably well: strong enough to be clearly felt, not so strong that the creative clarity gets buried. A mid-range, well-grown batch delivers the character without the racy edge.
