Origin
Colorado Bubba is a 1992 OG cut crossed with Northern Lights number five, from Vault Genetics. The OG side brings the piney, chemical sharpness; Northern Lights the density, the resin and most of the sedation. The 2014 Best Indica win is what took a small Colorado breeder's strain to international shelves.

About
Colorado Bubba won Best Indica at a 2014 Amsterdam Cup, and the review data mostly backs it up.
Vault Genetics crossed a 1992 OG cut with Northern Lights number five. The result is a heavy, sleepy indica, and while a Cup win is one room on one day, this one has held its reputation since.
What to Expect
Colorado Bubba is a quiet, sinking indica. Leafly's breakdown leads with relaxed at 75 percent, then happy at 62 and sleepy at 50, from a solid sample, with the relevance data putting deep relaxation almost off the top. There is a brief focused window before it settles.
Dry mouth is common near 37 percent, with an anxious note for about one in eight. Sources are firm that it is not a strain for newer smokers.
Flavor and Aroma
Colorado Bubba is sweet and earthy with a fruity note and a distinct lavender edge, turning nutty and piney with a chemical sharpness on the taste. Smell and flavor pull in slightly different directions. The lavender is the memorable part of the nose.
Terpenes Explained
Colorado Bubba has no terpene panel in our data, only four names without amounts. Nothing here is measured.
The lavender note often points to Linalool, along with lighter compounds a standard panel misses, though none of that is confirmed here. Smell a batch for that floral quality over the nutty, chemical base.
Cannabinoids and Potency
Colorado Bubba THC is reported around 21 to 23 percent, a strong range, consistent across sources. CBD is negligible. Our wider band runs noisy, but the low twenties is the reliable figure.
Colorado Bubba earns its Best Indica win by being genuinely strong and sedating, so treat it as a night strain, not an evening one.
