Origin

Early Skunk is Skunk Number 1 crossed with Early Pearl, a feminized cross from Sensi Seeds. Early Pearl is the source of the fast, early finish that the name refers to; Skunk Number 1 carries the aroma and most of the effect. It has five descendants on file. It won back-to-back cup awards for being an easy, heavy outdoor grower, not for the high.

Bulk Seeds's record agrees with 4 other breeders: Mallorca Seeds, New420Guy Seeds, Seeds66, Seedsman.

About

Early Skunk is bred from skunk stock but plays as a clear daytime strain.

Sensi Seeds crossed Skunk Number 1 with Early Pearl, mostly to get a skunk that finishes early enough for a short outdoor season. The effect is not the heavy knockout the name suggests. Reviewers lead with focus, not sedation.

The Early is about harvest.

What to Expect

Early Skunk plays lighter and clearer than a skunk name implies. Leafly's reviewers lead with focus at 56 percent of a solid sample, with happiness at 50 and a mild energetic streak, and the effect stays workable rather than sedating. It is an afternoon strain.

Dizziness is unusually high here at 25 percent, close behind dry mouth at 31, so the daytime label comes with a caveat. Start low if you are prone to a spinning head. Otherwise it is easy on the body.

Flavor and Aroma

Early Skunk smells pungent and skunky with a flowery edge. The flavor keeps the skunk and adds earth and a light diesel note. It is a straight skunk profile, no frills.

Terpenes Explained

Early Skunk has no terpene test in our data, with Myrcene, Camphene and Terpinolene named and nothing measured.

The skunk smell is the whole identity and sits in sulfur-heavy compounds a standard panel does not report. A jar with a strong, genuinely skunky pungency is true to type.

Cannabinoids and Potency

Early Skunk THC is reported from about 15 to 22 percent, a wide moderate range, with no clean lab sample in our data. The effect is more about the clear head than the strength. CBD is a trace, with a little CBC.

Early Skunk is a moderate strain that works during the day, so treat it as a functional afternoon smoke rather than a heavy one.
