Origin

Forbidden Fruit is Cherry Pie crossed with Tangie, a pairing of two strong flavor strains. Cherry Pie brings the sweet, dark fruit and the purple color; Tangie brings the citrus and the orange hairs. It has three descendants on file. The flavor is what the cross was for, and it holds up better than the potency does.

About

Forbidden Fruit is a Cherry Pie and Tangie cross, and it tests low.

The fruity-citrus nose is real, from Tangie, and the cherry sweetness is real, from Cherry Pie. Menus quote 23 to 26 percent; the lab sample in our data is near 14. The high lifts and then sinks deep.

The number is not real.

What to Expect

Forbidden Fruit opens euphoric and fruity, then settles into a deep, trance-like body calm. Leafly's reviewers lead with relaxed at 67 percent of a solid sample, with happiness at 49 and a euphoric lift, and sources describe the back half as almost meditative. Sleep follows.

The reviewer negatives are among the lowest in this batch: dry mouth at 13 percent, dry eyes at 8, and everything sharper reported by one percent or fewer. A standard dose is comfortable. This is a nighttime strain.

Flavor and Aroma

Forbidden Fruit smells of lemon and sweet berry over pine, fruity and fresh. The flavor turns deeper, with a nutty, earthy tang under the citrus. It is a genuinely complex fruit profile.

Terpenes Explained

Forbidden Fruit's measured panel leads with Myrcene, from about a fifth of a percent to two fifths, with Pinene and Bisabolol close behind and Caryophyllene lower.

The lemon and berry in the smell come mostly from lighter compounds the panel does not fully capture, and they fade first in an old jar. A batch that still smells brightly of citrus and fruit is the fresher one.

Cannabinoids and Potency

Forbidden Fruit THC is quoted at 23 to 26 percent on menus, but the lab-measured sample in our data is near 14, so it tests far below the claim. It plays as a moderate strain. CBD is a trace.

Forbidden Fruit tests in the mid teens despite menu numbers near 25, so buy it for the flavor rather than a heavy hit.
