Origin
Golden Goat has no formal lineage entry in our records, but the origin story is consistent: an unplanned cross of a Hawaiian-Romulan male and an Island Sweet Skunk female in Topeka, Kansas. The Hawaiian side is credited with the sweet tropical flavor. With seven descendants, the accidental seed has become a small breeding line of its own.

About
Golden Goat is named after a recycling plant, not a barnyard animal.
It came from an accident: in Topeka, Kansas, a male Hawaiian-Romulan plant pollinated a female Island Sweet Skunk. The result was a distinctively colored, distinctively smelling sativa hybrid with seven descendants on file and a following well beyond Kansas.
What to Expect
Golden Goat is a creeper. Sources describe a heady, energetic lift that arrives slowly, then eases into a relaxed body state without going fully couch-locked. Leafly's breakdown leads with happy at 60 percent, then uplifted at 53, euphoric at 52, energetic at 43 and relaxed at 41, from a large number of reviews. A separate reviewer set puts happy and euphoric near the top.
At 25 percent, dry mouth is the one common downside. Dry eyes trail it; dizzy or paranoid notes are rare. Because the onset is slow, wait before taking more.
Flavor and Aroma
Golden Goat is sweet and sour lemon with a tropical-fruit sweetness and a dank, earthy underside. It is a hard smell to place, which is part of its reputation. The flavor is sweet citrus and tropical fruit, cleaner than the dank aroma suggests.
Terpenes Explained
Golden Goat is one of the strains in our data with a measured terpene panel, and it is Terpinolene-led, at roughly 0.4 to 1.1 percent, which is high. Myrcene and Limonene follow around 0.3 to 0.5 each, with smaller Pinene and Caryophyllene. Terpinolene-dominant strains are relatively uncommon, and that is a real fingerprint for this one.
Because these numbers exist, you can check a batch's test against them. A jar with low Terpinolene is not showing the profile that makes Golden Goat distinctive.
Cannabinoids and Potency
Golden Goat THC is reported from about 12 to 23 percent, with the lab-measured sample near 19, so most cuts land in the high teens to low twenties. CBD is a trace. The range is wide enough that batches vary noticeably.
Expect around 19 percent, and with this strain the terpene numbers are the better guide to a good batch.
