Gorilla Glue #4 is a cross of Chem's Sister, Sour Dubb and Chocolate Diesel, and it happened by accident, when Chocolate Diesel pollen got into a Sour Dubb grow. GG Strains stabilized the result. After a trademark dispute with the Gorilla Glue adhesive company, it is now sold as GG4 or Original Glue. Our records link 29 descendant strains, and its influence on the diesel-and-chem corner of the market is large. The specific cut and the producer matter here, because the name has been applied loosely since the rename.

Gorilla Glue #4 is an easy grow and a tall one, which is worth planning for in an indoor space. Flowering is long, roughly ten to twelve weeks, and the plant is highly resistant to insects and disease. Indoor yield is around 18 ounces per square meter, more outdoors, harvesting in mid-October. Gorilla Glue #4 is sold on a number. Menus commonly list it in the low thirties for THC, and the name, earned twice over from resin gumming up trimming scissors, backs the idea that this is an unusually heavy strain. It came from GG Strains as an accident, a Chocolate Diesel pollination that was not planned, and it won both the Los Angeles and Michigan Cannabis Cups in 2014.
The question is whether that menu number is the reason people actually remember the experience. Our records suggest it is not.
