Genetics & Origin

Origin

Gushers is Gelato 41 crossed with Triangle Kush, bred by Cookies Fam Genetics in California. Gelato 41 brings the creamy, dessert side; Triangle Kush brings the tropical-sour edge and much of the body. It has two descendants on file. It is also sold as White Gushers or Fruit Gushers, which are the same plant.

About

Gushers is named for candy but its panel reads peppery, not sweet.

Cookies Fam crossed Gelato 41 with Triangle Kush, and the pitch is sour tropical fruit over creamy cookie. The measured terpenes lead with Caryophyllene, the peppery one. The candy is in lighter compounds a lab does not break out.

The candy hides from the lab.

What to Expect

Gushers is a giddy euphoric head high with a relaxing body that keeps you grounded. Leafly's reviewers lead with relaxed at 50 percent of a solid sample, with happiness and a euphoric, creative streak behind. Sources describe feeling almost as giddy as a kid in a candy store, then eased back down.

The reviewer negatives are among the lowest on record: dry mouth at 5 percent, everything else near zero. Sources note overconsumption can bring on drowsiness and a light paranoid edge, so pace it. This is an evening strain.

Flavor and Aroma

Gushers smells of sour tropical fruit and grape over damp earth, with a creamy cookie note through it. The flavor keeps the sour fruit and the cookie cream. It is a genuine candy profile, not a vague sweetness.

Terpenes Explained

Gushers' measured panel leads with Caryophyllene, which runs very wide, from about half a percent to nearly one, with Limonene and Humulene behind and Myrcene low.

That panel reads peppery and citrus more than candy, so the sour-fruit-and-cookie flavor comes from lighter aromatic compounds a standard test does not break out. A jar that genuinely smells of the candy is the well-grown one.

Cannabinoids and Potency

Gushers THC is reported from about 15 to 22 percent, with the lab-measured sample in our data near 17 and most sources putting the average near 15. It tests moderate. CBD is a trace.

Gushers tests in the mid-to-high teens, so plan for a moderate strain bought on the candy flavor.
