Origin
Lemon Skunk is a cross of two Skunk phenotypes selected for their lemon character, from DNA Genetics, though the specific phenotypes are not named in our records. It has twelve descendants on file, and it stands behind a large share of the Lemon-named strains on the modern menu. When you see Lemon in a strain name, this is often the source.
3 lineage claim sets recorded. The one shown is attributed to Annibale Genetics; the others are in the tabs above, each with its own source.

About
Lemon Skunk is the strain half of this menu's Lemon crosses come from.
DNA Genetics built it from two Skunk phenotypes both selected for a lemon note, and it won cups in 2007 and 2008 and made a High Times top-ten list in 2009. Its genes are in Lemon Haze, Lemon Meringue, Lemon Cheesecake and more.
What to Expect
Lemon Skunk is a heady strain with a light body. Leafly's breakdown leads with happy at 62 percent, then uplifted at 51 and euphoric at 49, with relaxed at 42 behind, from a solid number of reviews. Sources describe a thought-provoking, creative cerebral lift with a mild body stone underneath.
At 25 percent, dry mouth is the leading complaint, then dry eyes and an occasional paranoid note. It leans daytime but can tip toward the couch at a large dose.
Flavor and Aroma
Lemon Skunk is the question in its own name: lemon or skunk? The answer is both. The aroma is sharp, sour lemon like a lemonhead candy over a genuinely skunky, pungent base. The flavor is sweet-and-sour lemon with the skunk on the exhale. It is one of the few Lemon strains where the citrus is not marketing.
Terpenes Explained
Lemon Skunk has a measured terpene panel in our data, and it is genuinely Limonene-led, at roughly 0.54 to 0.90 percent, which is high, with Myrcene and Caryophyllene behind. Unlike several strains that borrow a Lemon name, this one has the citrus terpene to back it.
The skunk half of the name is the sulfur compounds a standard panel does not measure. So the lab sheet confirms the lemon and the jar confirms the skunk.
Cannabinoids and Potency
Lemon Skunk THC is reported from about 14 to 24 percent, with the lab-measured sample near 22, so most current cuts land in the low twenties. CBD is a trace. Older listings run lower.
The batch with the loudest lemon nose is the one to buy; the THC will be in the low twenties regardless.
