Origin

Mango Kush's pedigree is not documented, but the most repeated account is a Hindu Kush crossed with a mango-flavored indica. The Hindu Kush side would explain the earthy, hashy base and the heavy body; the mango parent is the presumed source of the fruit. It has one descendant on file. What a buyer is really choosing is the flavor, which is consistent across sellers even when the potency is not.

About

Mango Kush actually tastes of mango, which is rarer than it sounds.

Most strains with fruit names do not deliver the fruit; this one does, clearly, with a hint of banana behind it. The origin is disputed, most often given as Hindu Kush crossed with a mango indica. The effect is a giggly, deeply relaxing body high.

The mango is real.

What to Expect

Mango Kush settles into a deeply relaxing body high with a giggly, happy head over it. Leafly's reviewers lead with happy at 61 percent of a large sample, with relaxed at 48 and a euphoric, giggly quality behind, and its closest set agrees closely. It leans couch-side by the end.

The negatives cluster around dryness: dry mouth reaches 33 percent and dry eyes 21. Dizziness, a paranoid note and a small headache reading sit lower. A moderate dose keeps the giggly part in front. It is a night strain.

Flavor and Aroma

Mango Kush smells pungent and earthy with clear ripe mango and other tropical fruit. The flavor keeps the mango over a sweet, spicy, woody, herbal base with a hint of banana. It is one of the few fruit-named strains that tastes the part.

Terpenes Explained

Mango Kush's measured panel leads with Caryophyllene, from about 0.38 to 0.69 percent, with Myrcene second and Humulene, Limonene and Linalool lower.

Nothing on that panel is fruity, yet the mango on the nose and the tongue is unmistakable, so it is coming from lighter aromatic compounds that a standard terpene test does not measure. A jar with a genuine ripe-mango smell, not a vague sweetness, is the one worth buying.

Cannabinoids and Potency

Mango Kush THC is reported across a wide band, from about 11 to 23 percent, with the lab-measured sample in our data near 21. Older sources cluster lower, in the teens; newer ones run higher. CBD is minimal.

Mango Kush now tests into the low twenties even though older write-ups call it a mid-teens strain, so check the current number.
