Origin
Master Kush's exact genetics were never documented, but the strain is generally traced to Hindu Kush crossed with a pure Skunk line, built in Amsterdam under the name High Rise. Both sides are old, stable lines, which is part of why it grows so predictably. It has seven descendants on file. Its reputation rests on multiple Cannabis Cup wins and decades in Amsterdam coffee shops.
Abraxas Seeds's record agrees with 2 other breeders: Elev8 Seeds, YAK.

About
Master Kush lifts gently at first, then drops into a deep couch-lock.
It started in Amsterdam as High Rise and has taken multiple Cannabis Cups since. The genetics are unclear, usually guessed as Hindu Kush crossed with Skunk #1. The nose is lemon and earth, mellow rather than loud.
Gentle start, deep finish.
What to Expect
Master Kush opens with a mild, pleasant lift, then settles heavily into a narcotic body stone that most reviewers describe as full couch-lock. Leafly's reviewers lead with relaxed at 61 percent of a large sample, with happiness and a euphoric lift near 48 and sleepiness at 37, and its closest set puts relaxed at the very top. The second half is the dominant one.
Dry mouth is pronounced here, reported by 34 percent of reviewers and one of the highest in this batch, with dry eyes at 21 behind it. Nothing sharper clears the single digits. A moderate dose is plenty.
Flavor and Aroma
Master Kush smells of lemon and citrus over a pungent earthiness, all of it fairly mellow. The flavor is earthy and sweet with a woody, citrus edge. It is a subtle profile, easy to smoke without drawing attention.
Terpenes Explained
Master Kush's measured panel leads with Caryophyllene, in a narrow band near 0.3 percent, with Limonene and Humulene behind it and Myrcene notably low.
The panel is peppery with a citrus edge, which fits the lemon on the nose. Myrcene sitting this low is worth a note only because it is often assumed to be high in heavy indicas, and here it is not. A jar with a clear fresh-lemon smell over the earth is the well-grown one.
Cannabinoids and Potency
Master Kush THC is reported across a wide range, from about 15 to 24 percent, with the lab-measured sample in our data near 16. European sources cluster around 15 to 18; US listings run higher. CBD is a trace.
Master Kush tests anywhere from the mid teens to the low twenties depending on the source, so the jar's number matters more than the strain's reputation.
