Origin

Purple Reign is Royal Purple Kush crossed with Recon OG, a mostly indica pairing. Both parents are heavy, resinous lines, which is where the calm, long-lasting body effect comes from. It has no descendants on file. The purple color that the name plays on is cosmetic; the berry flavor is the real inheritance.

About

Purple Reign is a berry-flavored indica whose color tells you nothing.

It is Royal Purple Kush crossed with Recon OG, a 75 percent indica, not to be confused with Purple Rain. The effect is a calming, long-lasting, mildly focused relaxation. The purple in the buds is pigment, unrelated to how it plays.

Buy it for the berry, not the color.

What to Expect

Purple Reign is a calming, long-lasting relaxation that keeps a little focus. Leafly's reviewers lead with relaxed at 55 percent of a solid sample, with uplifted and happy readings at 33 and a light tingly, focused streak. It is a steady evening wind-down rather than a knockout.

The only logged negative is an anxious quality, and it is low. The weighted data does not add much. A standard dose is a fine start.

Flavor and Aroma

Purple Reign smells of blueberry and berry over an earthy, herbal, spicy base. The flavor keeps the blueberry with the same herb-and-spice backing. It is a genuine berry profile, closer to the fruit than to candy.

Terpenes Explained

Purple Reign has no measured terpene data, and only Humulene, Myrcene and Caryophyllene are named.

Nothing is quantified, so the blueberry note cannot be tied to a compound; fruit notes like that usually come from lighter aromatic compounds a panel does not report. A jar with a real blueberry smell, not a vague sweetness, is the fresher one.

Cannabinoids and Potency

Purple Reign THC is reported from about 21 to 23 percent by its sources, but the lab-measured sample in our data is only near 16, so the real number may sit lower. Either way it is at least moderate. CBD is a trace.

Purple Reign's sources claim the low twenties, but the one clean lab sample is mid-teens, so let the jar's test set your expectations.
