Strawberry Kush

Hybrid

Origin

Strawberry Kush does not have one settled lineage. The most common account is Strawberry Cough crossed with OG Kush. Royal Dutch Genetics gives its version as OG Kush and Cali Indica. Several cuts also circulate clone-only with no clear pedigree at all. The constant across all of them is OG Kush on one side, which is where the weight in the effect comes from.

The difficulty to grow Strawberry Kush is known for being easy. For growers cultivating indoors, expect short height with a 18oz/ m2 yield with in about 9–10 wk. Outdoors, harvest around mid October.

Cultivation Notes

Strawberry Kush flowers in about nine to ten weeks and finishes outdoors in mid-October, resisting mold and mildew well. Reported yields are moderate, around 18 ounces per square meter indoors and 16 ounces per plant outside. Many versions are clone-only, so seed availability depends on which line you are after. About

Strawberry Kush tastes like fruit and ends like a Kush.

The name covers several different crosses, most often Strawberry Cough and OG Kush, sometimes a Royal Dutch Genetics version with Cali Indica instead. What they share is a sweet berry opening and a heavy, sedating finish.

What to Expect

Strawberry Kush starts pleasant and turns heavy fast. Leafly's breakdown leads with happy at 56 percent and relaxed at 54, but the deeper signal is a strong sedating pull, with a sleepy note for about one in three reviewers. It is a late-evening strain.

Dry mouth and dry eyes are both high here, near 31 and 18 percent, among the more pronounced in our data. Have water within reach.

Flavor and Aroma

Strawberry Kush is sweet strawberry over an earthy, herbal Kush base, with a spicy edge. The fruit is up front on the inhale; the heavier Kush character comes through on the exhale. It is a fuller, headier smell than a straight fruit strain.

Terpenes Explained

No terpene panel exists for Strawberry Kush in our records, only Myrcene, Caryophyllene and Humulene named without amounts. Given how many different plants carry this name, a single panel would not tell you much anyway.

The berry-over-Kush smell is the identifying mark, and it comes largely from compounds outside a standard panel's scope. Smell for both halves: if it is all sweetness or all earth, it may be a different cut than you expect.

Cannabinoids and Potency

Strawberry Kush THC is reported around 16 to 26 percent, with the lab sample near 24, a strong reading. CBD is negligible. Because the name covers several genetic lines, potency varies widely between sellers.

Because Strawberry Kush is really several strains under one name, the batch certificate matters more here than the label does.
