True OG
Hybrid
Origin
True OG is an OG Kush selection from Elemental Seeds, worked up from a Topanga Canyon cut rather than a fresh cross. That makes it a phenotype more than a hybrid, so a seed version may not match the clone. It has two descendants on file. Its record is the reason to buy it: seven Cannabis Cup wins.

The difficulty to grow True OG is known for being average. For growers cultivating indoors, expect average height with a low to medium yield with in about 56–62 d. Outdoors, harvest around October.
Cultivation Notes
True OG yields low to medium indoors or out, so it is not a commercial cropper. It wants a warm climate and finishes outdoors in October. Height and flowering time are not recorded. Figures are grower and breeder reported.

About
True OG is a seven-time Cup-winning OG with a low-to-medium yield.
Elemental Seeds developed it from OG Kush stock first grown in Topanga Canyon. It is a heavy, skunky, fuel-and-pine indica for the evening. Menus put THC in the low-to-high twenties; our lab sample is corrupt.
A Cup OG, small harvest.
What to Expect
True OG is a deep body relaxation with more head clarity than its weight suggests, per several sources. Leafly's reviewers lead with relaxed at 64 percent of a solid sample, with happiness at 52 and a euphoric quality behind, sliding toward sleepy at 36. The weighted data ranks the deep relaxation highest.
For a strain this strong, the negatives stay contained: dry mouth near 30 percent, dry eyes at 22, a headache logged low. A moderate dose is enough at this strength. It leans night.
Flavor and Aroma
True OG smells pungent and skunky with sweet citrus and pine underneath. The flavor is earthy pine and fuel with a hashy note. It is an unmistakable OG smell, the kind people recognize across a room.
Terpenes Explained
True OG's measured panel is led by Caryophyllene, which reads high, from about 0.72 to over 1 percent, with Limonene and Myrcene both substantial behind it.
That is a strong, full panel, unusual for a strain whose lab THC sample came out corrupt. The peppery Caryophyllene with heavy Limonene and Myrcene fits the skunky, citrus-fuel nose. A jar with a loud, pungent OG smell is doing what the panel predicts.
Cannabinoids and Potency
True OG THC is reported from about 22 to 28 percent across menus, but the lab-measured sample in our data is corrupt and unusable. Sources are consistent that it is a strong indica. CBD is a trace.
True OG's own lab sample is broken, so trust the menu range of the mid-to-high twenties and the jar's certificate over any single number.
