Origin

Ultimate Purple is a BC Bud Depot cross that stacks five purple strains together, with Granddaddy Purple and Purple Urkle among the parents. Stacking that many related lines narrows the gene pool, which is how you lock in color and also why the results can feel same-y. Its identity is exactly that: about as purple as a strain can reasonably be.

About

Ultimate Purple was bred from five purple strains for maximum color.

BC Bud Depot stacked The Purps with Purple Urkle, Granddaddy Purple, Grape Ape and SR71 Purple Kush. The result is a deep purple, sleepy 80 percent indica. Menus put THC at 19 to 24 percent; our lab sample is corrupt.

What to Expect

Ultimate Purple is a heavy, sleepy body relaxation with very little head to it. The small samples that exist rank relaxed and happy and sleepy at the top, and the weighted data agrees. It is a straightforward night strain.

The one logged negative is an anxious edge, and it shows up prominently in the weighted data despite the calm reputation. Start with a small dose and see how that reading applies to you.

Flavor and Aroma

Ultimate Purple smells pungent and sweet and dank, with a clear grape note. The flavor adds honey and a menthol coolness over a diesel base. The grape and menthol are what the purple genetics deliver on the nose, when they deliver at all.

Terpenes Explained

Ultimate Purple has no measured terpene panel, with only Humulene, Camphene and Caryophyllene named.

None of it is quantified, so the grape-and-diesel smell is a nose call. This is the useful part of the purple question: the color is anthocyanin pigment in the plant tissue, and it does not track potency or effect, nor does it guarantee a grape smell. A jar that genuinely smells of grape and stays pungent has more to say than one that is simply dark.

Cannabinoids and Potency

Ultimate Purple THC is reported from about 19 to 24 percent on menus, but the lab sample in our data reads near zero and is corrupt. The menu range is the one to trust here. CBD is a trace.

Ultimate Purple's own lab sample is broken, so lean on the menu range of about 19 to 24 percent and read the jar's certificate.
