Origin

Cookies Kush is Girl Scout Cookies crossed with Rollex OG Kush, bred for Amsterdam coffeeshops by Barney's and a 2014 Cannabis Cup winner. Girl Scout Cookies brings the sweet-mint nose; the OG side brings the heavy body. It has one descendant on file. The Cup result and the Limonene-forward panel are what separate it from a generic Cookies cross.

About

Cookies Kush won a Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam and tests milder than its parents.

Barney's Coffeeshop crossed Girl Scout Cookies with a Rollex phenotype of OG Kush, and took first at the 2014 High Times Cup. THC is moderate, in the mid teens, with a possible one to three percent CBD. The nose is mint over sweet earth.

The Cup pedigree is real.

What to Expect

Cookies Kush is a relaxed, heavy body high that ends in sleep. Leafly's reviewers put relaxed at 74 percent of a solid sample, with sleepiness at 48 and a strong appetite bump, and happiness and euphoria fill in the middle. It is a night strain.

Dry mouth leads at 30 percent, with dry eyes at 20 and everything else in low single digits. The possible CBD content may take some edge off. A standard dose sits comfortably.

Flavor and Aroma

Cookies Kush smells of fresh mint over sweet earth and a herbal note. The flavor is sweet and earthy with a piney, minty edge. The mint is the part that marks it as this and not plain Cookies.

Terpenes Explained

Cookies Kush's measured panel is dominated by Limonene, above one percent in every sample, with Pinene a clear second and Caryophyllene third.

A Limonene reading that high is unusual for a Cookies strain and lines up with the bright, almost citrus note under the mint. A jar with a sharp minty-sweet smell rather than a flat earthiness is the one to want.

Cannabinoids and Potency

Cookies Kush THC is reported from about 15 to 18 percent, moderate, with the lab sample in our data corrupted. CBD is reported between one and three percent, which is higher than most Cookies crosses.

Cookies Kush is a moderate-strength strain with a little CBD, so it hits softer than its name suggests.
