Dinachem

Hybrid

Origin

Dinachem is a 1991 clone-only Chemdawg crossed with a Guava Chem selection, from Dinafem Seeds, though our records list a Stardawg contribution as well. The whole point of the cross was to fix the Chemdawg head-stash character into seed form. Its cup wins are for Best Indica, which tells you which side of the family carries.

The difficulty to grow Dinachem is known for being average. For growers cultivating indoors, expect average height with a 450-500g/m yield with in about 9–10 wk. Outdoors, harvest around Mid/end October.

Cultivation Notes

Dinachem is a vigorous, pest-resistant plant that clones easily and responds well to training. It flowers in nine to ten weeks, yields around 450 to 500 grams per square meter indoors or up to 800 grams per plant outside, and finishes outdoors in mid-to-late October. The ScrOG method suits it. Figures are grower and breeder reported.

About

Dinachem is Europe's answer to Chemdawg, and it lands heavier than the American original.

Dinafem crossed a 1991 clone-only Chemdawg with a Guava Chem selection, aiming to put the Chem head-stash flavor into a stable seed. It took Best Indica at a 2016 Spanish cup. The talkative opening gives way to a heavy body.

What to Expect

Dinachem starts social and settles down. Leafly's breakdown leads with relaxed and happy both at 75 percent, from a solid sample, with a strong talkative note. The cerebral Chem lift is real but short; the body takes the rest of the evening.

Dry mouth and dry eyes both sit near 25 percent, higher in the relevance data. Anxiety is barely reported. It is a comfortable strain at a moderate dose.

Flavor and Aroma

Dinachem is pungent diesel and pine with a sharp chemical, almost ammonia edge and a grapefruit note cutting through. It is loud and unmistakably Chem-family. The flavor keeps the fuel and pine with a citrus lift and an earthy finish.

Terpenes Explained

Dinachem has no terpene panel in our data, only four names without amounts. Nothing here is measured.

The chemical, ammonia-sharp note is the Chemdawg signature, and it comes from sulfur compounds a standard terpene test does not cover. Smell a batch for that gas-station bite over the grapefruit, since it is what marks a real Chem descendant.

Cannabinoids and Potency

Dinachem THC is reported around 20 percent and up, with our band topping out near 23 and no clean lab sample. CBD is a trace. Sources call it moderate to strong, and 20 percent is the figure most agree on.

Dinachem tests around 20 percent but plays like a heavier indica, so treat it as an evening strain despite the sativa-dominant label.
