Genetics & Origin

Origin

FPOG's genetics are widely reported as a four-way cross of Green Ribbon, Granddaddy Purple, Tahoe OG and Alien Kush, credited to Alien Genetics. But Fruity Pebbles strains have circulated under different parents since 2006, so the name is a flavor category more than a fixed lineage. It has one descendant on file. What is consistent is the cereal-fruit smell, not the plant behind it.

About

FPOG is a Fruity Pebbles strain, and there is no single Fruity Pebbles.

Strains called Fruity Pebbles have circulated since 2006, all named for the cereal smell, but different growers use different parents. This one is credited to Alien Genetics as a four-way cross. Two jars under the name can be different plants.

The name is not the genetics.

What to Expect

FPOG is an up, giggly, social high more than a heavy one. Leafly's reviewers lead with happy at 62 percent of a solid sample, with euphoria at 53 and an uplifted, giggly streak, and its closest reviewer set backed the happy reading unanimously. There is a relaxed body under it.

Dry mouth at 28 percent leads, with dry eyes at 14 and the anxious and paranoid notes near 4. A moderate dose keeps the giggly side ahead of the edge. It is an afternoon strain.

Flavor and Aroma

FPOG smells and tastes of sweet tropical fruit and berry, close enough to the cereal to explain the name. Beyond fruity, the aroma data is thin. The specifics vary a lot between phenotypes.

Terpenes Explained

FPOG's measured panel leads with Myrcene, which swings from about two fifths of a percent to over one between samples, with Limonene and Caryophyllene behind and Pinene reading just as widely.

Those wide swings are the whole story: the same name covers plants with very different terpene loads, so one FPOG jar can smell and hit differently from the next. A batch heavy in sweet fruit over pine is closest to the cereal comparison.

Cannabinoids and Potency

FPOG THC is reported from about 18 to 21 percent on menus, and the lab-measured sample in our data is near 20, so the numbers agree for once. It plays moderately strong. CBD is a trace.

FPOG's menu numbers match the test, so plan for a strong strain in the high teens to low twenties.
