Origin
G13's parentage is unknown. The story that a US government lab bred it from Afghani strains in the 1960s and 70s is widely repeated and not documented. It has five descendants on file, including G13 Haze and G13 Skunk, which are better characterized than the original. The strain lives on its legend and its crosses more than its own data.

G13 is cannabis's most famous origin myth and one of its thinnest records.
The story that a US government lab bred it from Afghani strains in the 1960s is repeated everywhere and documented nowhere. The modern data is almost as thin: a corrupted potency reading and one effect word. What is real is a skunky, berry indica and a set of well-known descendants.
The legend outruns the data.
What to Expect
G13 is described as a heavy, couch-locking indica with a euphoric, creative head, though almost none of that comes from reviewer data here. The one effect word on file is happy, and the sedative, creativity-provoking reputation runs mostly through its crosses. There is not much direct data.
The only negative on the thin record is a scared feeling, which the deeper data puts around 28 percent. With the potency data corrupted, treat a new batch cautiously. Start low.

G13 smells pungent and sweet with skunk and a berry note over earth. The flavor is earthy and sweet with the skunk carrying through. It is a straightforward skunk-and-berry profile.
