Origin
G13's parentage is unknown. The story that a US government lab bred it from Afghani strains in the 1960s and 70s is widely repeated and not documented. It has five descendants on file, including G13 Haze and G13 Skunk, which are better characterized than the original. The strain lives on its legend and its crosses more than its own data.

The difficulty to grow G13 is known for being average. For growers cultivating indoors, expect average height with a high yield with in about 55–60 d. Outdoors, harvest around Middle of October to Early November.
Cultivation Notes
G13 finishes outdoors from the middle of October into early November, later than most, with no other grow figure recorded. It is described as a heavy yielder. Height and climate are not listed. Figures are grower and breeder reported.

About
G13 is cannabis's most famous origin myth and one of its thinnest records.
The story that a US government lab bred it from Afghani strains in the 1960s is repeated everywhere and documented nowhere. The modern data is almost as thin: a corrupted potency reading and one effect word. What is real is a skunky, berry indica and a set of well-known descendants.
The legend outruns the data.
What to Expect
G13 is described as a heavy, couch-locking indica with a euphoric, creative head, though almost none of that comes from reviewer data here. The one effect word on file is happy, and the sedative, creativity-provoking reputation runs mostly through its crosses. There is not much direct data.
The only negative on the thin record is a scared feeling, which the deeper data puts around 28 percent. With the potency data corrupted, treat a new batch cautiously. Start low.
Flavor and Aroma
G13 smells pungent and sweet with skunk and a berry note over earth. The flavor is earthy and sweet with the skunk carrying through. It is a straightforward skunk-and-berry profile.
Terpenes Explained
G13's measured panel is Limonene-dominant, from about six to nearly nine tenths of a percent, well ahead of Myrcene and Caryophyllene.
A Limonene-led profile is a little surprising for a strain with this heavy a reputation, and it is one of the few solid data points on file. A jar with a bright citrus edge under the skunk is closer to the real panel than a purely earthy one.
Cannabinoids and Potency
G13 THC is listed at 22 to 24 percent on menus, but the lab-measured sample in our data is corrupted, and a stray reading of nearly 17 percent CBGA sits alongside it. The real strength is unknown. Sources call it strong.
G13 has no trustworthy cannabinoid data on file, so treat a new batch as an unknown and start small.
