GSC

GSC is not one plant but a family that shares a cookie flavor.

It is the F1 of OG Kush crossed with Durban Poison, and it threw several distinct phenotypes, including Thin Mint and Platinum. The sweet, minty cookie taste is the constant. Which cut you get changes the rest.

The name is a family.

GSC is a happy, uplifting euphoria with a deep relaxation underneath. Leafly's reviewers lead with happy at 60 percent of a solid sample, with relaxed at 55 and a euphoric, creative streak, and the weighted data leans even more strongly toward the happy, uplifted end. The onset is sweet but not subtle.

At 25 percent, dry mouth is the leading complaint, with dry eyes at 13 and the anxious and paranoid notes down near 4. The first hit is described as heavy, so ease in. This is an after-dinner strain.

GSC smells of mint and sweet vanilla with a fruity edge. The flavor is the reason for the name: a sweet, minty, cookie-like taste over a lemon and earthy base. Eucalyptol is on the terpene list, which is where the cooling mint comes from.

GSC's measured panel leads with Caryophyllene, from about a third of a percent to two thirds, with Limonene and Linalool behind and Myrcene reading low. Eucalyptol is named but unmeasured.

Eucalyptol is the rare one here: it is the source of the cooling mint note, and it does not show up on most panels. A jar with a genuine minty-sweet cookie smell rather than a flat earthiness is the one to want.

GSC THC is reported from about 17 to 28 percent on menus, but the lab-measured sample in our data tests near 19, so the higher menu numbers overstate it. It is still a strong strain. CBD is a trace, with an unusually high THCV reading on file.

GSC tests in the high teens more often than the high twenties, so plan for a strong hybrid, not an extreme one.
