Origin
La Confidential is generally given as an Afghani crossed with a California indica, an all-indica pairing bred by DNA Genetics. Both parents are heavy, resinous indicas, which is the whole reason it plays as couch-lock. It has eight descendants on file. Its place in the record is the 2006 High Times Strain of the Year and a 2008 Cannabis Cup win.

It is an Afghani and California indica cross from DNA Genetics, and it was the 2006 High Times Strain of the Year. It smells of skunk but tastes of sweet, earthy pine. The couch-lock is where it starts.

What to Expect
La Confidential opens by numbing the body into couch-lock, then a wave of calming, euphoric relaxation follows. Leafly's reviewers lead with relaxed at 58 percent of a solid sample, with happiness and a euphoric lift close behind and sleepiness at 40. It ends in sleep.
Dry mouth leads at 29 percent, with dry eyes at 18 and dizziness and a paranoid note both near 6 to 7. A few reviewers pick up a cerebral edge even from a pure indica. A moderate dose keeps it easy.
Flavor and Aroma
La Confidential smells strongly of skunk with a spicy, sweet edge. The flavor turns completely: sweet and earthy pine, with none of the skunk carrying through. The gap between smell and taste is its signature.
Terpenes Explained
La Confidential's measured panel leads with Caryophyllene, from about four tenths of a percent to nearly eight tenths, with Humulene and Linalool behind and Limonene swinging widely.
