Mako Haze
Sativa
Origin
Mako Haze is generally given as a Northern Lights number five Haze cross, though one source instead names Kiwi Green and Haze; our records do not resolve the parents. The Haze side is where the mature, herbal aroma and the long flowering time come from. The 2006 Cup win still drives demand for a slow-flowering Haze, and it is most of why the name circulates.

The difficulty to grow Mako Haze is known for being average. For growers cultivating indoors, expect average height with a 500-600g/m yield with in about 8–10 wk. Outdoors, harvest around October.
Cultivation Notes
Mako Haze takes patience: flowering runs a long 10 to 13 weeks depending on conditions. The reward is a heavy yield, over 600 grams per square meter indoors or in a greenhouse, with an October outdoor finish. There are no shortcuts here, just time. Grower and breeder figures.

About
Mako Haze is named after a fast, powerful shark and grows nothing like one.
It is a Northern Lights number five Haze cross that took a best-sativa Cup in 2006, and it needs a very patient grower. Sources sell the effect as instant and overwhelming; the reviewer data describes something smoother.
What to Expect
The shark name promises a slam. Mako Haze is more of a swell. Leafly's breakdown leads with euphoric at 68 percent, then uplifted and happy at 60 and energetic at 51, from a solid number of reviews, describing a bright, creative cerebral lift that most people find manageable rather than overwhelming.
Dry mouth, at 22 percent, is the main flag; a headache note affects a small share and little else comes up. It is a daytime strain that does not usually turn anxious.
Flavor and Aroma
Mako Haze is a mature Haze smell: earthy and spicy with a fresh, herbal edge and a nutty note, plus a cheesy undertone some cuts show. It is an old-school profile, not a fruity or citrus one. The flavor is piney and spiced.
Terpenes Explained
Mako Haze has no measured terpene data, only Humulene and Caryophyllene as recurring names. Those fit the earthy, peppery side, but there is nothing measured to describe the fuller Haze aroma.
Haze strains vary widely with age and cure. A fresh, sharp, herbal nose is the sign of a well-kept Mako Haze; a flat one is not.
Cannabinoids and Potency
Mako Haze THC is reported around 19 to 21 percent by some sources, though others put the average into the teens, so cuts vary. CBD is a trace. The low end of our range is data noise.
Expect a mid-teens to low-twenties strain and confirm with the batch's own test.
