Mango is an old-school strain, crossed with KC33 by KC Brains in 1991 to fix the version sold today. Its 2002 Cannabis Cup placing and a spot on a best-seeds list are most of why the name lasted. It has three descendants on file. What a buyer is choosing is a stable, fruit-forward indica with a long track record.

Mango has been on menus since the 1960s, remade once and mostly unchanged since.
KC Brains crossed KC33 into the old Mango line in 1991, and it took a 2002 Cannabis Cup placing for indica. Slow to start, then heavy, with a real tropical-fruit flavor.
It sneaks up.
What to Expect
Mango starts slow and then does not. Sources agree the first stretch is mild, almost underwhelming, before a heavy body relaxation and a strong hunger take over. Leafly's reviewers split happy and relaxed at 55 percent each of a solid sample, with hunger at 34.
Dry mouth runs high here at 34 percent, ahead of dry eyes at 20, and a scared note sits at 10. Give it time before deciding you need more. Not a fast or functional strain.
Flavor and Aroma
Mango is a genuine ripe-mango smell with tropical sweetness and a sour citrus edge. The flavor delivers the fruit the name promises, which is rarer than it sounds. There is an earthy base under the sweetness.
Terpenes Explained
Mango has no measured terpene panel in our data. A grower note lists Myrcene and Ocimene as its common terpenes, but without amounts.
The tropical fruit sits in lighter aromatic compounds a standard panel does not report. A Mango jar that smells clearly of the fruit, not just sweet, is doing what the name says.
Cannabinoids and Potency
Mango THC is reported anywhere from the mid teens to the mid twenties, with the lab-measured sample near 14, so the lower end is more reliable. One old source lists CBD at ten percent, which is almost certainly wrong; the strain is THC-dominant with at most a trace.
