Genetics & Origin

Origin

Mendo Breath is OG Kush Breath crossed with Mendo Montage, bred by Gage Green Genetics. OG Kush Breath, also called OGKB, is the source of the heavy body; Mendo Montage is the rare Mendocino line behind the sweet caramel. It has three descendants on file. The takeaway for a buyer is that the candy nose and the sedative weight come from two different parents.

About

Mendo Breath smells like a candy shop and hits like a sedative.

Gage Green Genetics crossed OG Kush Breath with Mendo Montage for it. The nose is vanilla and caramel; the effect is a deep, sleepy body relaxation. The sweetness does not warn you.

Sweet nose, heavy body.

What to Expect

Mendo Breath comes on quickly and pleasantly, then sinks into a deep, heavy relaxation that turns sleepy. Leafly's reviewers lead with relaxed at 76 percent of a solid sample, one of the higher readings in this batch, with happiness at 52 and sleepiness at 46. The weighted data ranks the deep relaxation near the ceiling.

Dry mouth is the main negative at 22 percent, with dry eyes at 8 and nothing else above the low single digits. People report using it for stress and sleep, which matches the effect without being a medical claim. A moderate dose is plenty.

Flavor and Aroma

Mendo Breath smells pungent and sweet with strong vanilla and caramel, like a boardwalk candy stand. The flavor keeps the sweetness and adds lemon. Nothing about the smell suggests how heavy it is.

Terpenes Explained

Mendo Breath's measured panel leads with Caryophyllene, from about 0.33 to 0.68 percent, with Limonene second and Myrcene and Humulene behind.

The vanilla and caramel are not on that panel at all; they come from lighter aromatic compounds a standard test does not measure. A jar that genuinely smells of sweet caramel, not just generic sweetness, is the fresher one.

Cannabinoids and Potency

Mendo Breath THC is reported from about 19 to 20 percent, with the lab-measured sample in our data near 16, so the real-world number may sit a little lower. It is a solid mid-strength indica. CBD is minimal.

Mendo Breath tests in the high teens to about 20 percent, so plan for a strong, sleepy strain rather than a mild one.
