Origin
Mochi is a Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies cut crossed with Sunset Sherbet, from Sherbinskis. Both parents sit in the cookies-and-sherbet family, which is where the creamy sweetness comes from. The Sherbinskis line is the documented one, and the Mochi Gelato alias points to the same plant.

About
Mochi's menus say 29 percent THC; the lab sample says 18.
Sherbinskis crossed a Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies cut with Sunset Sherbet in San Francisco and named it for the Japanese dessert. Sweet and creamy on the palate, and heavier than the flavor lets on. It also goes by Mochi Gelato.
The number is inflated.
What to Expect
Mochi opens sweet and eases into sedation. The first stretch is a light, clear lift; Leafly's reviewers then land hard on relaxed at 78 percent of a solid sample, with sleepy at 42, and the wider data flags a heavy sedated quality. It is a night strain.
An anxious note sits at 10 percent, a little high, with dry mouth at 20 and dry eyes at 12. The sedation itself is the main thing to plan around. Not the strain for staying up.
Flavor and Aroma
Mochi is a creamy, gelato-like sweetness with fruity and tropical berry notes, and a cooling peppermint-and-lavender turn on the exhale. The flavor holds the sweet cream with a sour edge. It is one of the more dessert-accurate names.
Terpenes Explained
Mochi's measured panel leads with Limonene and Caryophyllene, both around 0.4 to 0.55 percent, with Linalool notably high near 0.25 and Humulene behind it.
That high Linalool is where the lavender exhale comes from, and it varies a lot cut to cut, so a Mochi that tastes floral and one that tastes mostly of cream can be the same name. Compare two before committing.
Cannabinoids and Potency
Mochi menu figures reach 29 percent, but the lab-measured sample in our data is near 18, and the true strength is probably in between. One CBD reading is wildly high and clearly an error; the strain is THC-dominant. Treat it as a strong hybrid, not a record-breaker.
Mochi's sedation is the reason to buy it, so shop it for the effect, not the inflated THC tag.
