Origin

Orange Diesel is a TGA Seeds cross of Sour Diesel and Agent Orange, credited to the breeder Subcool, and the name varies by region between Orange Diesel, Agent D and Sour Orange Diesel. That parentage is consistent across our sources. Sour Diesel brings the fuel and the head lift; Agent Orange the bright citrus. It has no documented descendants of its own, and its appeal is the specific orange-and-diesel clash rather than a place in any family tree.

3 lineage claim sets recorded. The one shown is attributed to Insane Seed Posse; the others are in the tabs above, each with its own source.

About

Orange Diesel puts two strong smells in one jar and dares you to like it.

Bred by TGA Seeds from Sour Diesel and Agent Orange, and also sold as Agent D or Sour Orange Diesel, it pairs a creamy orange sweetness with a sour, fuel-heavy bite. It is a polarizing profile, and its long-time fans keep it around for exactly that clash.

What to Expect

Orange Diesel is a bright, even hybrid. Leafly's breakdown leads with happy and euphoric at 60 percent, then uplifted and relaxed, with a solid energetic note, so it lifts the mood and loosens the body at the same time. It works in the afternoon or early evening.

Dry mouth is the main complaint at 26 percent, with dry eyes and a small chance of a paranoid edge behind it. It is a poor fit for anyone who wants a heavy, sedating strain or who finds a diesel note off-putting.

Flavor and Aroma

Orange Diesel is sweet orange and citrus over a sharp, sour diesel base with a chemical edge. The orange reads as almost creamy, which is the unusual part against the fuel. The flavor follows, citrus up front and a lingering diesel sourness on the exhale.

Terpenes Explained

Orange Diesel has a full measured panel, and Limonene dominates it, well ahead of Caryophyllene and Pinene. That heavy Limonene reading fits the bright orange character directly.

The sour diesel that sits under the citrus is a different matter. That fuel note is not one of the standard terpenes; it comes from compounds a nine-terpene panel does not measure, likely including sulfur compounds. Use the numbers for the citrus and trust your nose for the rest.

Cannabinoids and Potency

Our THC records for Orange Diesel are affected by a data-entry error and are not reliable. The usable sources put it around 14 to 17 percent, which makes it a moderate strain rather than a strong one. CBD is a trace.

Ignore any low or extreme THC figure attached to this strain in our data and buy on the batch's own test.
