Platinum OG is Apothecary Genetics' OG Kush cut crossed with a clone-only strain called Platinum Kush, plus an unnamed third parent. That Platinum Kush mother is itself disputed, given as Master Kush with either an Afghani landrace or Mendo Purps. It has one descendant on file. Because the mother is clone-only, what a buyer gets depends heavily on the source.

Platinum OG is named for the silver sheen on the buds, not the flavor.
Apothecary Genetics built it from an OG Kush cut and a clone-only Platinum Kush whose own lineage is disputed. It lifts with a euphoric energy first, then turns into one of the heaviest body highs there is. The flavor is plain pine and herb.
The glamour is only the color.
What to Expect
Platinum OG opens by relaxing the senses with a euphoric, almost energetic edge, then drops into a heavy, sedating, numbing body stone. Leafly's reviewers lead with relaxed at 69 percent of a solid sample, with a euphoric quality and sleepiness both near 47 and a hunger bump at 29. The weighted data ranks the deep relaxation near the ceiling.
Dry mouth is pronounced, near 29 percent in the raw data and higher in the weighted, with dry eyes at 16 behind it. Keep the dose moderate, and keep it near the end of the night.
Flavor and Aroma
Platinum OG smells pungent and earthy with pine and a spicy, herbal edge. The flavor is much the same: piney and herbal over earth, with a light sweetness. There is nothing platinum or dessert-like about the taste.
