Hybrid

Origin

Shoreline is generally given as Skunk #1 crossed with Oasis, a Northern Lights phenotype, though one source calls it an older cut of Sensi Skunk instead. Either way the Skunk heritage is the constant and the source of the pungency. It has no descendants on file. Its identity as a flower is murky; as an extract strain it has a clear Cup record.

Cultivation Notes

Shoreline stays short and bushy and needs at least four weeks of veg, then flowers in 55 to 65 days indoors, with high yields outdoors in September. It is a challenging grow but rewards patience with a big harvest. Its calyxes turn purple, pink and red as it ripens. Figures are grower and breeder reported.

About

Shoreline is a landlocked Texas strain famous for its extracts, not its flower.

It came out of Houston and was popularized at a 1980s Grateful Dead concert at the Shoreline Amphitheater, which is where the name comes from. All four of its Cannabis Cup placings are in the Extract category. The buds turn rainbow colors as they mature.

Not a beach strain.

What to Expect

Shoreline is a euphoric, happy, creative lift that eases into a relaxed body. Leafly's reviewers lead with euphoric at 76 percent of a solid sample, with happiness at 64 and an uplifted, creative streak behind. The weighted data ranks euphoria and the deep relaxation about level.

Dry mouth runs high at about 41 percent, with dry eyes near 23 and little else of note. A moderate dose keeps it comfortable. It leans afternoon rather than late night.

Flavor and Aroma

Shoreline smells of skunk and berry with a fruity sweetness. The recorded flavor is earthier: skunk and sweet earth, with the berry carrying through faintly. It is an old-school skunk profile with a fruit twist.

Terpenes Explained

Shoreline has no measured terpene data, with only Caryophyllene and Ocimene named.

Nothing is quantified, so the skunk-and-berry smell is a nose call. Old-school Skunk lines like this carry the pungency through volatile sulfur compounds a terpene panel does not print. The berry sits in lighter compounds outside it too. A jar with a genuinely loud, fruity skunk stench is the well-grown one.

Cannabinoids and Potency

Shoreline THC is reported from about 18 to 23 percent, with no clean lab sample in our data. Growers describe it as consistently in the high teens to low twenties. CBD is a trace.

Shoreline tests in the high teens to low twenties as flower, but its reputation rests on the extracts made from it.
